From there, we hop on Peru Rail or Inca Rail to Aguas Calientes. Often praised as one of the world’s most scenic train rides, you’ll enjoy four hours of stunning views.

Arriving in Aguas Calientes at about 9:30 am, we take a moment to appreciate this quaint town nestled at Machu Picchu’s base.

Then, it’s a short bus ride up the winding road to Machu Picchu. We arrive around 10:30 am, and our guide will lead the exploration, sharing fascinating insights and historical tidbits. There’s plenty of time to explore the main attractions, admire the ancient craftsmanship, and, of course, capture those iconic shots.

By 2:00 pm, we begin heading back to Aguas Calientes for a bite and maybe a little exploration before catching the train back.

We board the return train at 4:30 pm, unwinding with more beautiful views, and get back to Cusco by 8:30 pm, wrapping up a day full of discovery and memories.
